Who would have thought a Heavyweight Bare Knuckle Boxing Champion could be such a genuine nice guy, well as I packed my passport and headed out through the snow up onto the winding A68 leading from the North East of England over the border at the Carter Barr, to the Scottish Borders a warmer welcome couldn’t have been bestowed on me as I walked through the doors of Hawick Boxing Club.

As I make my way inside find the champ already warming up on a computerised exercise bike before what I can only call a brutal training session before we had a chat on Camera, and as always it was great to see ‘Gumpys’ trainer again, Andrew Macfarlane.  I was even sent home with gifts in the shape of a Hawick Boxing Club Mug and Tracksuit.

Mack sure to check out a great feature interview below (which will go live at 6pm 3-2-19) and don’t forget you can see the man himself back in action on March 3th £ the UBKB Bare Knuckle Boxing show at the BEC Arena, Manchester! Tickets out now from all fighters, or online at  www.ubkb.uk
